This past weekend was the annual Wickenburg Gem and Mineral show. It was a good show especially for it being a small show in a small town. There were lots of vendors, door prizes, silent auction, fluorescent display, best rock competition, and rock displays. I was glad to see a variety of materials from the local to the more exotic. The weather wasn't too bad, just a little chilly so that was good. I'm not sure how many people were there but I saw a lot and parking was hard to find. In all I had a good time, got to talk and look at many rocks, and got out of the house for the day. If you are ever in this area when the show is going on then I'd say it's worth the stop. I wouldn't drive from a long distance just to go to it though. A few of the vendors I talked to said they will be in Quartzsite this year so I may see them again.
I didn't get any pictures of the event so here's one of the desert just to keep the post interesting. Enjoy.
